Basketball Player, Entrepreneur · Leo · born August 14, 1959 in Lansing, Michigan, USA
Earvin 'Magic' Johnson is an American basketball legend whose no-look passes and joyful showmanship powered the Showtime Lakers to five NBA championships in the 1980s. As a rookie he played all five positions in the 1980 Finals clincher, and his rivalry-friendship with Larry Bird revived the entire league. After announcing his HIV diagnosis in 1991, he became a pioneering advocate and built a business empire investing in underserved communities, later joining ownership groups of the Dodgers and Commanders. His radiant Leo warmth is the reason they called it Showtime.
