Virgo, this month name the next step in how you think, talk and make arrangements out loud and do only that. Useful for a decisive follow-through. Do not force three projects when one done well would move you further. The first week carries this most clearly. This is because your ruler Mercury is in Scorpio, which emphasises how you think, talk and make arrangements. The New Moon in Libra falls on Sunday 11 October. For Virgo that is your 2nd house of income and what you value: the money you earn, what you own, and what you think you are worth. The Full Moon in Taurus falls on Monday 26 October. For Virgo that is your 9th house of travel, study and belief: long trips, study, publishing, law, and what you believe. Venus turns retrograde in Scorpio on Saturday 3 October. For Virgo that is your 3rd house of conversation and the everyday: conversations, messages, short trips, siblings and neighbours. Pluto turns direct in Aquarius on Friday 16 October. For Virgo that is your 6th house of daily work and health: the actual work of your days, routines, and your body's upkeep. Mercury turns retrograde in Scorpio on Saturday 24 October, in your 3rd house. The Sun moves from Libra into Scorpio on Friday 23 October, in your 3rd house. Venus moves from Scorpio into Libra on Sunday 25 October, in your 2nd house. Mercury and Mars form an exact square on Friday 2 October, in your 3rd house. Mercury grinds against Mars, so your drive, and where you're willing to push is in the mix too. No other planet is currently transiting Virgo, so the influences reaching you this month arrive from elsewhere in the chart rather than from your own sign. Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto are retrograde, double-check anything you're signing or sending. Taken together, the practical instruction is to commit to the specific thing in front of you rather than reorganising everything around it.

Virgo Love & Relationships

For October, put your love life effort into conversations, messages, short trips, siblings and neighbours. Useful for the conversation you keep shortening, or the message you keep rewriting. Not useful for reading meaning into a short reply. Venus starts the month in Scorpio, your 3rd house of conversation and the everyday. Venus turns retrograde in Scorpio on Saturday 3 October, in your 3rd house. Mercury and Venus form an exact conjunction on Wednesday 7 October, in your 3rd house. Venus and Mars form an exact square on Sunday 11 October, in your 3rd house. The Moon crosses Scorpio on 12 to 13 October; those are the days to act on your love life. Check back at the end of October: one finished step in conversations is worth more than a plan for all of it.

Virgo Career & Work

For October, put your work effort into rest, retreat, endings, and what you have not admitted yet. Useful for the prep and the clean up, done before anyone is watching. Not useful for a launch that needs everyone's attention. Mars stays in Leo all month in your 12th house of rest and what is hidden, so the subject holds from start to finish. Mercury and Mars form an exact square on Friday 2 October. For Virgo it links your 3rd house of conversation and the everyday with your 12th house of rest and what is hidden. Mars and Neptune form an exact trine on Saturday 3 October, in your 12th house. Mars and Pluto form an exact opposition on Saturday 3 October, in your 12th house. The Moon crosses Leo on 5 to 6 October; those are the days to act on your work. Check back at the end of October: one finished step in rest is worth more than a plan for all of it.

Virgo Health & Wellbeing

Across October, your health and energy is decided in conversations, messages, short trips, siblings and neighbours, so start there. Useful for writing the noise down and then leaving the phone behind. Not useful for more input when the problem is the volume. Mercury stays in Scorpio all month in your 3rd house of conversation and the everyday, so the subject holds from start to finish. Mercury and Mars form an exact square on Friday 2 October, in your 3rd house. Mercury and Pluto form an exact square on Saturday 3 October, in your 3rd house. Mercury and Venus form an exact conjunction on Wednesday 7 October, in your 3rd house. The Moon crosses Scorpio on 12 to 13 October; those are the days to act on your health and energy. Check back at the end of October: one finished step in conversations is worth more than a plan for all of it.

Virgo Money & Finance

For October, put your money effort into rest, retreat, endings, and what you have not admitted yet. Useful for opening the statement you have been walking past. Not useful for a decision made while you are avoiding the paperwork. Jupiter stays in Leo all month in your 12th house of rest and what is hidden, so the subject holds from start to finish. The Sun and Jupiter form an exact sextile on Thursday 15 October. For Virgo it links your 2nd house of income and what you value with your 12th house of rest and what is hidden. The Moon crosses Leo on 5 to 6 October; those are the days to act on your money. Check back at the end of October: one finished step in rest is worth more than a plan for all of it.
