Primatologist, Conservationist · Aries · born April 3, 1934 in London, England
Dame Jane Goodall is a British primatologist whose study of wild chimpanzees at Gombe Stream in Tanzania, begun in 1960, became the longest-running study of any wild animal population. Arriving with no university degree, she discovered that chimpanzees make and use tools, a finding that forced science to rethink the boundary between humans and animals. She founded the Jane Goodall Institute and the global youth program Roots & Shoots, and has spent decades traveling the world as a conservation advocate and UN Messenger of Peace. Her Aries courage sent a young woman alone into the African forest to change science forever.
Their Aries side
Aries fearlessness carried her alone into the Gombe forest and past every scientific gatekeeper.
