A relationship reading, drawn from your actual chart

Vera is an AI. She reads the chart cast from your birth details. No astrologer reviews her replies. How this site works.

For anyone trying to make sense of a person they can't read, a pattern that keeps repeating, or a decision they've been circling for months.

Sun-sign compatibility gets one thing right and everything else wrong. Two people are not two sun signs; they are two whole charts, and the interesting part is where those charts touch. Your Venus says what you are drawn to. Your Mars says how you pursue it. Your Moon says what you actually need in order to feel safe with someone, which is often not the same thing at all.

This is a reading about that. You give your birth details, your chart is drawn from real ephemeris data, and you ask about the relationship you are actually in - or the one you keep ending up in.

What a relationship reading looks at

Four places in the chart carry most of the weight, and a reading moves between them depending on what you ask.

  • Venus - what you value and what attracts you. Venus in a fire sign wants to be pursued visibly; Venus in an earth sign wants to be shown, not told.
  • Mars - how you go after it, and how you fight. Half of what people call incompatibility is two different Mars styles meeting at the wrong moment.
  • The Moon - what you need to feel secure. This is the placement people are least aware of and most governed by.
  • The seventh house - the kind of partnership you are set up for, including the sign on its cusp and any planet sitting in it.

Two charts, not one

If you have their birth details, the reading changes shape. Aspects between two charts - your Moon against their Saturn, their Venus against your Mars - describe the actual dynamic rather than a score out of a hundred. Where one person's planet lands in the other's houses says which part of life they show up in.

If you do not have their birth time, that is workable. Planet-to-planet aspects still hold; the houses and rising sign are what a missing time costs you.

The pattern question

The most useful thing a relationship reading does is name a pattern you already half-know. Not a prediction - a description you recognise, precise enough that you can decide what to do about it. That is the difference between being told your year looks romantic and being told exactly why you keep choosing people who need saving.

An example of how Vera answers

Why do I keep falling for people who are emotionally unavailable?

Your Moon sits opposite Saturn, which is the aspect most likely to produce exactly this. The Moon wants closeness; Saturn adds a condition to it. Early on that usually reads as: love has to be earned, and someone who gives it freely must not mean it. So the person who is a little out of reach feels correct, and the person who is fully present feels like a person you are not attracted to. It is not a preference - it is a familiarity. The way through is unglamorous: notice that the discomfort you feel with an available person is the discomfort of an unfamiliar thing, not evidence of no chemistry.

Written as an example, not taken from anyone's sitting.

Things worth asking

  • What does my Venus say about what I'm actually drawn to?
  • Why does this relationship feel like hard work?
  • What's the dynamic between my chart and theirs?
  • Am I repeating something? What is it?
  • What do I need from a partner that I don't ask for?
  • Is there anything in my chart about the timing of this?

Common questions

Do I need my partner's birth details?

No. A reading about your own chart tells you a great deal about how you love and what you need. If you do have their date, time and place, the reading can compare the two charts, which is more specific again.

Will it tell me whether we'll last?

No, and be wary of anything that says it will. A chart describes temperament, pattern and timing - not outcomes. What it can do is name the friction accurately enough that you can decide whether it is the kind you want to live with.

Is this compatibility by sun sign?

No. Sun-sign compatibility is one placement against one placement. This reads the whole chart: Venus, Mars, the Moon, the seventh house, and the aspects between them.

What if I don't know my birth time?

You still get a real reading. Planet-to-planet aspects - including everything about Venus, Mars and the Moon by sign - hold without a time. The rising sign and the houses are what a missing birth time costs you. Birth certificates usually carry the time.
