AI Astrology Reading: Chat With Vera About Your Real Birth Chart
Vera is an AI. She reads the chart cast from your birth details. No astrologer reviews her replies. How this site works.
Most astrology you read online is written for a twelfth of the population at a time. Your sun sign is one placement out of roughly forty that make up a birth chart, and on its own it explains very little about why you keep making the same decision, or why a particular year felt like walking uphill. A reading grounded in your actual chart is a different exercise entirely.
Vera reads your own chart with you in conversation, right now, without booking an appointment. Your chart is cast from real ephemeris data the moment you enter your birth details, and she reads from that - your placements, your houses, and the transits currently forming against them. 3 free messages with Vera, renewed every week. No card, no signup.
What Vera is, and how a reply is made
Vera is an AI astrologer. When you enter your birth details, the chart is cast from an astronomical ephemeris: the real positions of the Sun, Moon and planets for your birth moment, and, if you know your birth time, your rising sign and houses. Each reply is written by an AI model that is given those placements and the transits forming against them today. No astrologer reads or reviews the conversation, and no person writes any part of it.
That has consequences worth knowing before you start. She answers at any hour, in seconds, and she never tires of a follow-up question. She is also bound to the chart: she is told which placements exist and cannot invent one, and when a question goes beyond what a chart can say, she is instructed to say so plainly rather than fill the gap. Treat what she says as interpretation from astrological tradition, for reflection, not as a forecast or as advice.
A worked example
This is a written example of how a sitting opens, not a real reader's conversation. Suppose the chart shows the Sun in Pisces, the Moon in Capricorn and Scorpio rising, with Saturn approaching the natal Moon this year. An opening might read:
"Sun in Pisces, Moon in Capricorn, Scorpio rising. That is a soft centre behind a very controlled front door. Saturn is coming to your Moon this year, which is usually when people stop performing competence and start asking for help. Where is that showing up for you?"
Every claim in it comes from the cast chart: the three signs, and a transit with a date you can ask about. If you reply "at work, I think", she would look at your tenth and sixth houses and the planets that rule them, and name when the Saturn contact is exact. Your own opening is drawn from your own chart and today's sky, so it will not look like this one.
What a birth chart reading actually covers
A birth chart is a map of the sky at the moment you were born, from the place you were born. It records where each planet sat along the ecliptic, which houses those planets fell into, and the geometric relationships - aspects - between them. Read together, those factors describe temperament, motivation and pattern rather than events.
A reading with Vera usually moves through some combination of the following:
- Your luminaries and rising sign. The Sun, Moon and Ascendant are the spine of the chart - roughly, what you are driven by, what you need in order to feel settled, and how you meet the world.
- Aspects between planets. A tight square between two planets describes friction you will recognise immediately when it is named. A trine describes something that comes so easily you may not have noticed it is a strength.
- House placements. Which area of life a planet operates in. Venus in the seventh house behaves very differently from Venus in the tenth.
- Element and modality balance. A chart heavy in fixed signs handles change differently from one heavy in mutable ones. An absent element is often more telling than a dominant one.
- Current transits. Where the planets are now relative to your birth chart, which aspects are tightening, and - for the slow-moving planets - the exact date an aspect perfects.
How this differs from a sun-sign horoscope
A daily horoscope is written from one data point: your birth date. It is produced once and read by everyone born within a roughly thirty-day window. That is not a criticism of the format - it is simply what it is.
A chart reading uses your birth date, your birth time and your birth place. The time determines your rising sign, your Midheaven and all twelve house cusps, all of which change every few minutes. The place determines your time zone, including whether daylight saving was in effect on the day - which in Australia varies by state and by year, and which is the single most common reason an amateur chart comes out wrong.
The practical difference: a horoscope can tell you that Mercury is retrograde. A chart reading can tell you that Mercury is retrograde in your tenth house, that it rules your chart, and that this is the third time in two years it has gone back over the same degree.
What Vera can and cannot tell you
Vera interprets a cast chart. She is given the true placements, aspects and transits, and she works from those. She cannot introduce a placement that is not in your chart, and if you ask about something the chart does not cover, she will say so rather than guess.
She will not give medical advice, or comment on illness, pregnancy outcomes or death. She will not give legal or financial advice, and she will not tell you what to buy or when to sell. She will not make claims about what another person is secretly doing or feeling - a chart describes its owner, not the people around them.
She also will not tell you the future is fixed. Astrology describes conditions, not outcomes: a difficult transit describes weather, not fate, and what you do inside it is genuinely yours.
Why birth time matters - and what happens if you do not know it
Your birth time sets three things nothing else can: your rising sign, your Midheaven, and the house position of every planet. The Ascendant moves roughly one degree every four minutes, so a chart cast an hour out is materially a different chart.
If you do not know your birth time, say so. Roughly four in ten people do not, and guessing is worse than omitting it, because a guessed time produces a confident chart that happens to be wrong. When the time is unknown, the chart simply leaves out the rising sign, the Midheaven and all house positions, and Vera is told they are unavailable. She will not mention them, hedge about them, or work around them.
Everything else still holds. Your planetary placements, the aspects between them, your element and modality balance and your current transits are all accurate without a birth time. In Australia, if you want to find it later, your full birth certificate from the state registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages usually records it.
What to ask
Specific questions get further than open ones. "Tell me about my chart" produces a summary; "why do I keep ending up in the same argument with my partner" produces a reading. Some starting points that tend to work well:
- Why a particular pattern keeps repeating in your relationships or your work
- What your chart suggests you are genuinely good at but tend to discount
- What is currently transiting your chart, and when it perfects
- How you handle pressure, and what the chart says would actually help
- Whether a period that felt significant lines up with something in your chart

Questions people ask
What is an astrology reading based on a birth chart?
A birth chart reading interprets the positions of the Sun, Moon and planets at the exact moment and place you were born. Unlike a sun-sign horoscope, which uses only your birth date, a chart reading uses your birth time and location as well - which is what makes it specific to you rather than to a twelfth of the population.
How is talking to Vera different from reading my horoscope?
A daily horoscope is written once for everyone born under a sign. Vera works from your cast chart - your actual planetary placements, house positions and the transits currently forming against them. She answers your questions about your own chart rather than offering general advice for your star sign.
Do I need to know my birth time?
No, though the reading covers more ground if you do. Your birth time determines your rising sign, your Midheaven and all twelve house positions. Without it, those cannot be cast - so they are simply left out. Your planetary placements, aspects and transits are still accurate, and Vera will tell you plainly which parts of the chart she cannot see.
Where do I find my birth time?
In Australia, your birth time is usually recorded on your full birth certificate, available from the Births, Deaths and Marriages registry in the state where you were born. Hospital records and baby books often have it too. If you cannot find it, start the reading without it - roughly four in ten people do not know theirs.
Is the chart real, or a horoscope in disguise?
It's real: your chart is cast from ephemeris data - real planetary positions for your birth moment, with Placidus house cusps and your time zone resolved from your birth place, including historical daylight saving. Vera interprets that chart in conversation. She is given the true placements and cannot invent one that is not there.
Is Vera a real person?
No. Vera is an AI, and no astrologer reviews her replies. She reads the chart cast from your birth details - the real placements, houses and transits - in conversation, at any hour, and says plainly when a question is outside what a chart can answer.
What can I ask about?
Relationships and recurring patterns, work and vocation, your relationship to money and risk, timing of current transits, family dynamics, and what your chart says about how you handle pressure. The most useful questions are the specific ones - 'why do I keep ending up in the same argument' gets further than 'tell me about my chart'.
What will Vera not answer?
She does not give medical advice or comment on illness, pregnancy outcomes or death. She does not give legal or financial advice, and will not tell you what to buy or when. She will not make claims about other people's private behaviour - whether someone is lying to you, or what they secretly feel. She will talk about what your own chart shows about the dynamic instead.
How much does a reading cost?
You start with 3 free messages, no account and no card required. Your free messages renew every week. After that, every sitting is a one-off payment - there is no Vera subscription and nothing bills on its own. Prices and message counts are shown before you pay, and a paid sitting keeps the message count you bought even if prices change later.
Is my birth data private?
Your birth details are used to cast your chart and to give Vera the facts for your replies, which are processed by our AI provider. They are not sold. Readings are only ever included in our public question archive if you explicitly opt in, and anything published there is rewritten to remove names, dates, times and places - only the general placement pattern remains.
Is talking to Vera a subscription?
No. Vera sells sittings, not a plan. Your free messages renew every week. Paid messages are a one-off purchase for that sitting. Nothing bills you again unless you choose another sitting.
Can I keep a copy of my reading?
Yes. Paid sittings include a transcript of the conversation, emailed to you as a PDF along with a plain-language summary of your chart placements.
