What the 7th house covers
The Descendant sits exactly opposite the Ascendant, so the 7th house describes what you look for in another person, often the qualities you show least yourself. It is the first house to read in any relationship question.
It covers formal agreements too, which is why astrologers read it for business partnerships and legal matters as well as marriage.
Planets in the 7th house
Venus here makes partnership central and usually easier. Saturn here makes commitment serious and often later. Mars here attracts strong, independent partners and conflict with them. Uranus here needs freedom inside a relationship.
