Developers: the Horoscope Vibes Ephemeris API

GET /api/ephemeris returns real, charted planetary positions for any date: geocentric, tropical, with an explicit provenance block stating the reference frame, epoch, accuracy and known limitations. Free to use, with attribution.

Endpoint

GET /api/ephemeris?date=YYYY-MM-DD (date is optional; omit it for today). Returns JSON: date, provenance, bodies (planet, sign, degree, longitude, retrograde), moon, aspects, retrogrades and a plain-language summary sentence.

Provenance

Every response states its frame (geocentric), zodiac (tropical), house system, epoch, when it was drawn, its accuracy, and the honest limitations of the figures: the same disclosure a citation needs to be trustworthy.

Licence

Free to use, including commercially, with a visible link back to horoscopevibes.com wherever the data or the widget appears. No API key, no rate-limit registration; cache responses for a given date, since the astronomy for a past date never changes.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need an API key?

No. The endpoint is public and unauthenticated.

What's the rate limit?

Responses are cached for a day and safe to cache on your side too. A given date's positions never change, so there is no need to poll more than once a day.
